How to navigate major life transitions Psychologists say important life changes typically come with significant trauma. These transitions unsettle much of what we thought we knew about the world and how we fit into it. So how are we to get through these momentous times? This issue of Presbyterians Today explores a number of crucial life-changing events: moving into adulthood, welcoming a new child into the family, facing retirement, calling a new pastor, caring for elderly parents, coping with illness and death, and others.
