GenOn Ministries’ intergenerational resources are designed to intentionally bring generations together to learn and grow spiritually and relationally mid-week, Friday night, Saturday afternoon, or Sunday afternoon/evening. These resources provide ideas and structure that allow a broad span of ages to eat together, play together, study God's word together, pray together and worship together.
Each session for this 5-session collection is meant to be a gathering of about 2 hours at the church or a home, and can stand alone. All allow your intergenerational group to enjoy outdoor activities together. The resource includes Eating Together (with menu, table decorations and prayer), Playing Together (with choices of crafts, games, and other fun activities), Studying God's Word Together (with Bible study, message to share together and questions for conversation) and Praying Together (with litany, music, sharing what has been experienced, and a closing prayer). Session themes are “Faith and Fireworks” (Mark 5:21–43); “Let’s Go Camping” (1 Kings 19:1–13); “Plumb Straight” (Amos 7:7–15); “Storm Stories” (Mark 4:35–41); and “Walking on Water” (Matthew 14:22–33, John 6:16–21, Ephesians 3:14–21).
