이 교재는 성경의 이야기와 세상의 이야기가 만나는 교차로(cross-roads) 에서 우리의 삶과 하나님의 말씀이 조우(遭遇, 신하가 뜻에 맞는 임금을 만남 혹은 우연히 서로 만남)하기를 기대하면서 성경이라는 텍스트(text) 못지않게 세상이라는 콘텍스트(context)에 주의를 깊게 기울이는 방법론을 채택합니다. 특별히 영화, 드라마, 소설, 시, 음악, 노래, 그림 등 다양한 문화적 매개체를 통하여 성경적인 소망의 이해에 접근함으로써 성경 해석에 우리 각자의 상상력과 창의성을 적용하는 것을 권장합니다.

COMMUNITY OF HOPE
Dr. Sung Hee Chang
is a dialogue space for the learning community of faith where participants, refusing to be content with the dreams, wishes and interests pursued within the traditional perspectives, seek to find the dreams, wishes and interests of God that exist in our daily lives and yet have not been found. This curriculum leads participants to stand at the cross-roads between the stories of the Bible and those of the world, expecting our lives to encounter the Word of God. It takes a methodology of paying full attention to the context of the world as well as to the text of the Bible. In particular, it encourages participants to apply their imagination and creativity to their biblical interpretation as they attempt to understand the biblical meaning of hope through the various media such as films, novels, poems, music, and pictures.
