This in-depth Bible study for adults dives deep into God’s Word. Designed by an ecumenical collaborative so that participants in multiple denominations are studying the same passages together, participants study the Bible over a six-year period, focusing on a specific theme each quarter.
The Leader’s Guide is no-prep, effortless to use, and leadership can be rotated between anyone in the group. The Participant’s Book provides helpful information and an optional daily Bible reading plan for each person. Worship Leaflets enhance the Bible study by pulling in elements of worship into each lesson.

Session Flow
The Present Word aims to have participants know the content of the Bible, understand the message of the Bible in light of their experiences and relationships, and be aware of God’s redeeming love in our lives. Each session follows the structure below.
Opening Worship—gathering time and prayer
Scripture and Bible Study—reading the Scripture, background information, and reflections on the text
Stepping into the World—Reflection on the relevance of the Scripture to today
Closing Worship—closing prayer
