소개문: 우리는 역사상 유래를 찾을 수 없는 코로나 팬데믹으로 고통하고 있다. 그 영향력은 우리의 삶을 심각한 위기상황으로 내 몰고 있다. 그리고 과학 문명의 발전과 더불어 물질을 숭상하는 배금주의, 쾌락을 추구하는 향락주의 세속 문화는 극치에 달하고 있다. 가치의 기준이 흔들리고 선과 악의 구분이 불분명해지는 상황 속에서 수많은 영혼들이 방황하고 있으며 심지어 교회 안으로 세속화 (Secularization)의 물결이 쓰나미같이 밀려 들어오고 있다. 이 같은 풍조 속에 살아가는 성도들에게 전도서는 인생의 목적이 무엇이며, 어떤 가치를 추구하며 살아가야 하는지에 대한 지혜를 제시함으로 현대교회와 성도들이 당면한 문제에 대해 올바른 가치와 방향을 제시하고 있다.

The whole world is now suffering from the unprecedented coronavirus pandemic and its impact drives our daily life into a serious crisis situation. Materialism and hedonism reach their zenith along with the revolutionary enhancement of the knowledge of science and culture. Amid crumbling of the criteria of the value system and becoming unclear between good and evil, many souls are wandering and the wave of secularization is rushing into the church. In this situation, the Ecclesiates shows us christians and the church what the purpose of life should be, and provides the right direction to what value needs to be pursued.
