Each chapter of her book focuses on biblical texts and a connection with The Confession of 1967 and A Brief Statement of Faith. She identifies challenges that this end often present and then shows how faith is saped in the process of meeting these challenges and responding to the end's mission in the context of hope.
For decards the Great Ends of the Church has helped to establish church directions in mission and ministry. It is a historic listing of ways Presbyterians have understood the role of the church.
