In continued preparation for the 220th General Assembly, this Leader Reader explores some of the deeper questions that assembly commissioners and advisory delegates may be prompted to consider while practicing prayerful discernment of the issues coming to GA. In addition, this essay provides an overview of the types of issues that will be discussed at the General Assembly in Pittsburgh, including revisions to the new Form of Government, reversals to the previous changes in ordination standards, the possible adoption of a new translation of the Heidelberg Catechism, and peacemaking in the Middle East.
