Product Overview
The United Methodist Church traces its origin to a movement in eighteenth-century England led by two brothers, John and Charles Wesley. In this two-session study, participants will dive deep into the traditions and beliefs of the United Methodist Church.
Session 1 introduces participants briefly to the Methodist tradition, looking back to its origins and reflecting on the present-day church. This introduction provides a context for a closer examination of Methodist beliefs, in particular the importance of examining personal beliefs and the distinct sources for those beliefs. Session 2 goes further to introduce the core beliefs of the Methodist tradition: prevenient grace, human sin, justifying grace, and sanctifying grace.
