Feasting on the Word Curriculum is lectionary based and allows everyone in your church, regardless of age, to study the same text each week. All the leader background information comes directly from the Feasting on the Word series, so you know that your leaders are getting the biblical background they need to feel confident leading the lesson with any age group.
A companion resource titled Joining the Feast allows leaders to connect the Sunday school experience with worship. If the pastor is preaching on the lectionary, then the leader can look up liturgy suggestions and other helpful ideas to help tie into the worship experience.
Beginning with the fall 2024 quarter, Feasting on the Word Curriculum will become an undated, quarterly curriculum that provides sessions that follow the lectionary year, offering study resources for the entire worshiping community. By the fall 2026 quarter, there will be three years’ worth of material. At the beginning of each of the three years, all sessions will be released for each of the age groupings: Grades (K) 1–2, Grades 3–4, Tweens (Grades 5–6), Multi-Age (Grades K–6), Youth, Young Adult (Conversations), Adult and Joining the Feast.
All resources will be available only in a downloadable format. Once each year is released, you can purchase by the quarter at any time and then download them as often as you need.
Each of these years will utilize content from previously published material.
• Year B/C—releases in time for fall 2024
• Year C/A—releases in time for Fall 2025
• Year A/B—releases in time for Fall 2026
